ASIS Physical Therapy features Doctorate of Physical Therapy trained clinicians who are also Board Certified Orthopedic Specialists and Vestibular Specialists. This unique environment allows interns exposure to evidence-based treatment methods of various injuries and conditions. Interns will get the opportunity to observe and participate in the management of clients ranging from youth to adults, helping them achieve their goals of maintaining an active lifestyle and returning to competition.

Internship Opportunities
Doctor of Physical Therapy Internship at ASIS
HOW TO APPLY
For college and university Doctorate of Physical Therapy programs, students must apply through their program-specific clinic coordinator. If your school does not have a program contact, please reach out directly for specific application and placement information. Due to high demand, all potential DPT students are required to go through our application and interview process to ensure a proper fit.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVE
Each DPT student will leave their internship with the ability to demonstrate knowledge and proficiency of the ASIS Model, including philosophy and science, assessment and program design, technology and tracking, as well as psychology and customer science.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
- 1-on-1 mentorship with a Doctorate-level licensed
physical therapist - Curriculum-based learning with weekly learning objectives
- Exposure to dry needling, IASTM, manual therapy & functional exercise
- 1-on-1 direct patient care
- Training in return-to-sport functional testing & decision-making protocols
- Community events & local injury risk screening with club/HS teams
- Access to CE materials via MedBridge education portals
- Opportunity to teach undergraduate and high school interns
- Weekly clinical in-service meetings on evaluation, treatment & methodology

High School & Undergrad Student Internship at ASIS
HOW TO APPLY
To be considered, the following documents must be submitted along with the mandatory internship request form:

✓ One letter of reference (guidance counselor, teacher, professor, coach, or employer)

PROGRAM OBJECTIVE
To demonstrate knowledge and proficiency of ASIS methodology including philosophy and science, assessment and program design, technology and tracking, as well as psychology and customer science. Undergrad students will have the opportunity to contribute to a highly progressive sports medicine program, working with patients to learn and interact with the human body — taking the next step in their sports medicine and physical therapy careers.

- Experience in a progressive rehabilitation & sports performance facility
- Daily in-services, comprehensive tutorials & in-house seminars
- Guided observation and hands-on learning opportunities
INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete pre-internship reading & ASIS requirements
- Shadow and assist physical therapists with daily tasks
- Maintain professionalism in dress and general conduct
- Be an active and engaging member of the ASIS community
