Vanessa Jackson
PT, DPT, NSCA-CPT, TPI-CGMP
Vanessa Jackson received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California (USC). She is now finally back in her hometown of San Diego, where she lives with her husband and two dogs, and is a proud owner of one of the premier SD physical therapy clinics. Vanessa is passionate about serving as your Rancho Bernardo physical therapist, especially for sport-specific physical therapy, such as golf fitness and performance.
She is a Titleist Golf Performance Institute medical professional and fitness instructor. Experiencing golf pain in SD? She can help! Vanessa has enjoyed playing sports all of her life, and she now enjoys helping other people (of all ages) live up to their own unique potential. She is always looking to further her education and studies a wide range of physical therapy techniques, in order to provide excellent service to all populations and maximum value to her SD physical therapy clinic. Vanessa has been featured on Channel 10 News and in Callaway Magazine.
She enjoys traveling around the city sharing information on golf, posture, osteoporosis, etc. When not serving as your Rancho Bernardo physical therapist, Vanessa is a closet computer nerd and an avid reader who also loves the outdoors.
Kevin Pansky
PT, DPT, TPI-CGMP
Kevin Pansky strengthened his educational background when he earned his Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology from Whittier College. Kevin then continued his education at the University of Southern California (USC), where he graduated with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Since graduating from USC, he has expanded his knowledge thanks to the Titleist Performance Institute certification program, where he became a Certified Golf Fitness and Golf Medical Practitioner.
Some of Kevin’s areas of expertise include: low back pain, shoulder pain, foot and ankle assessment, and orthotic fabrication; his focus is also on golf specific exercise prescription, and helps tremendously those dealing with golf pain in SD.
Through the use of advanced technology and latest research, he has helped many golfers accomplish their goals of lower scores, increased distance, and more rounds of pain free golf.
David Chon
PT, DPT
David graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, then received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of St. Augustine, San Marcos. Since receiving his Doctorate, David has worked in a wide variety of settings and facilities.
Now serving as the Director of Operations at ASIS Physical Therapy, David brings his expertise in patient care, clinic management, and evidence-based practice to ensure the highest quality of service. He has worked with Wounded Warriors, professional athletes, and the average Joe (or Jane), from toddlers to the geriatric population. He continues to pursue his passion for helping people achieve long-term functional goals through ongoing education in orthopedic manual therapy and the fitness industry.
When he is not working, David loves spending time with his wife and two children—whether traveling, having family movie nights, or exploring new activities together. David is also a crazed sports fan; from badminton to football, curling to martial arts. He’ll watch anything that is competitive!
Leo King
PT, DPT, CSCS, Cert SMT
Leo graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from San Diego State University. He immediately went on to earn his Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. He continued his studies upon graduation and completed a Residency in Orthopedic Physical Therapy with Evidence in Motion. Due to his passion for manual therapy, he then went on to complete a series of manual therapy courses through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy (AAMT) to earn the credential of Certification in Spinal Manipulative Therapy (Cert. SMT). Leo is also a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS). In addition Leo has Personal Memberships with the Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS)- American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and Selective Functional Movement Assessment certified (SFMA). Leo has a strong foundation for providing evidenced based physical therapy for a variety of orthopedic conditions. Leo’s passion is treating the spine which allows him to take a quantitative and evidence based treatment approach for all of his patients while keeping their personal goals in mind.
While not in the clinic, Leo is an avid sports fan. He enjoys watching and playing all sports, particularly soccer, and loves watching all different types of movies. He considers himself an amateur movie critic and he loves drinking good coffee and reading. Leo can be reached at leo@asispt.com
Jake Fellow
PT, DPT, CSCS, OCS
Dr. Jake Fellow, DPT, graduated in 2014, from the University of California at San Diego with a bachelor’s degree of science in economics/mathematics. After completing an internship with a local San Diego business, Jake chose to follow his passion in a career where he could enrich people’s lives.
He decided on physical therapy after receiving successful physical therapy treatment for wrist and shoulder injuries, allowing him to return to playing tennis. Dr. Jake then continued his education and successfully obtained a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from San Diego State University, graduating at the top of his class. While going through his graduate school doctoral program he also became a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) to better develop training programs for individuals of all ages.
Jake has a long-time interest in sports medicine and considers himself an avid sports fan. He competed as an NCAA athlete in tennis at UC San Diego and enjoys playing all sports. He also likes spending his time outside including traveling, running, hiking, and boating.
Haley Shetter
PT, DPT
Dr. Haley Shetter PT, DPT, graduated from Northern Arizona University, in 2015, with a Bachelor’s Degree of Science, in Exercise Science. Dr. Shetter knew she wanted to be a Physical Therapist after attending physical therapy herself, due to multiple sports injuries and after shadowing a PT during a career day in the 8th grade. Since then, she worked hard to achieve her goal of being a Doctor of Physical Therapy in the San Diego area, where she grew up.
Dr. Shetter continued her education at San Diego State University and worked towards specializing in Pelvic Health Physical Therapy, she is currently a published author in the field. In addition to Pelvic Health, Dr. Shetter has experience working with the athletic population utilizing her experience background in Applied Functional Science.
Haley grew up playing sports including, softball, field hockey and lacrosse. During her free time Haley is outdoors either hiking, paddle boarding or just enjoying the beautiful San Diego sunshine.

Sage Flynn
PT, DPT
Sage Flynn, PT, DPT earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of San Diego. She then decided to pursue health sciences in the field of physical therapy where she’s found her passion in assisting individuals restore optimal function. She went on to complete her Doctor of Physical Therapy from San Diego State University. During her education and clinical experiences, Sage has worked with many populations, including brain trauma recovery and San Diego State’s Adapted Athletics program. She’s experienced in treating various musculoskeletal and neurological conditions with an emphasis on individualized patient care focusing on manual techniques that are reinforced through therapeutic exercise. She takes pride in her ever expanding knowledge base to implement in treatment sessions.
When Sage isn’t in the clinic she loves outdoor activities and spending time with her beloved Rhodesian ridgeback- it’s rare when she doesn’t get her 10,000 steps a day.
Bryant Ngo
PT, DPT, CAFS
A highly skilled physical therapist with a passion for helping patients recover from post-operative orthopedic cases and lower extremity conditions. After graduating with a degree from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, San Marcos in 2021, Bryant has been dedicated to helping patients regain mobility and achieve optimal health through the use of manual physical therapy and functional exercises. With a patient-centered approach, Bryant focuses on tailoring treatment plans to each individual’s unique needs and goals. Bryant takes pride in staying up-to-date with the latest techniques and advancements in physical therapy to ensure the highest level of care for patients. When not in the clinic,
Bryant enjoys pursuing various hobbies such as golf, weightlifting, cooking, and road biking. With Bryant’s dedication to health and wellness, you can trust that you are in good hands when seeking physical therapy services.
Dave Karg
PT, DPT
Dave Karg received his Bachelor of Science in exercise science from Rutgers University. As an exercise science major, he used his skills and knowledge to become and personal trainer and certified strength and conditioning specialist. Prior to Physical Therapy school, Dave gained valuable experience working with athletes and individuals of all ages focusing on a variety of exercise programs.
He continued his studies and went on to earn his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the Kean University and found a passion for physical therapy and helping individuals get back to the things they love most.
Outside of the clinic, Dave enjoys outdoor activities such as golf, pickle ball and is going to learn how to surf! He is also a big sports fan and loves watching the New York Jets!
Brian Kaestner
PT, DPT
Brian Kaestner graduated from the University California Irvine with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He discovered his love of Physical Therapy while working at a PT clinic after graduation as a physical therapy aide. He went on to complete his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from California State University Northridge. Since then he has been living in San Diego working to help people in their recovery from various injuries and conditions.
When not working you can find him at the movies, eating Mexican food, or playing basketball. He originally is from the Bay Area and is a big fan of the San Francisco Giants and Sacramento Kings
Blake Williams
PT, DPT
Blake graduated from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychobiology. During his time as an undergraduate, he worked on campus as a lifeguard and participated as a cancer research assistant under the guidance of an associate professor and MD. After graduating from UCLA, he followed in his mother’s footsteps by pursuing a career in physical therapy and received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from San Diego State University.
While in graduate school, Blake volunteered every week with the Adapted Sports Physical Therapy program. In addition, he taught exercises to wheelchair tennis and basketball athletes on a weekly basis at Barnes Tennis Center and Park de la Cruz Recreation Center as part of his doctoral research study.
He enjoys staying active, whether that be training for triathlons or marathons, or simply spending time swimming, surfing, or running with friends. He remains active in the community, volunteering each year at the Life Rolls On event held in La Jolla, and volunteering at various Challenged Athletes Foundation events and Roll to Success wheelchair basketball tournaments.
Deanna Catron
PT, DPT
Dr. Deanna Catron, PT, DPT, is a dedicated and compassionate physical therapist whose journey began at age 16, inspired by a conversation with a friend that sparked her interest in understanding movement and the mechanics of the human body. As a proud San Diego native, Deanna channeled this passion into earning a degree in Kinesiology at San Diego State University. Her path was further shaped by a transformative study abroad experience in Greece, where she volunteered at a school for children with disabilities, which solidified her commitment to pursuing a career in physical therapy.
She continued her education at the University of St. Augustine in San Marcos, CA, earning her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Through her clinical rotations, Deanna developed a love for balance training, safety training, manual therapy, and post-operative orthopedic rehabilitation. She found a special connection with the geriatric population and pursued advanced training in Parkinson’s Disease care, earning her LSVT BIG certification.
As a child, Deanna attended creative and performing art schools in San Diego, studying dance and competing around the West Coast for 13 years. When not in the clinic, she enjoys participating in drop-in dance classes, hiking, watching movies, and getting together with family and friends.
Deanna brings her enthusiasm for movement, wellness, and individualized care to every patient interaction, helping them achieve their goals and return to the activities they love.
Stephanie Palat
PT, DPT
Dr. Stephanie Palat, PT, DPT, earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy degree from Ithaca College in New York, following a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Health Studies. Stephanie has always been passionate about physical activity. Growing up in Albany, New York, she spent most of her time hiking and skiing in the nearby Adirondack Mountains. This love of fitness combined with a strong desire to help others regain lost function, led her to pursue a career in physical therapy.
During graduate school, Stephanie gained valuable experience both as a personal trainer at Cornell University and as a personal caregiver. These roles reinforced her desire to help people achieve better movement and overall quality of life. Throughout her clinical rotations, Stephanie found a deep appreciation for orthopedic rehabilitation, prosthesis rehabilitation, post-surgical care, and geriatric care. Her clinical rotations deepend her passion for physical therapy.
When not in the clinic, you’ll find Stephanie hiking, skiing, rock climbing, running, or planning her next adventure! She also enjoys exploring new restaurants with friends!
Man-Ling Lai
L.Ac., DACM
Dr. Man-Ling Lai, DACM (Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine), board certified L.Ac. (Licensed Acupuncturist), graduated Summa Cum Laude from Pacific College of Health and Science (PCHS) in 1991 and received her Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in 2017. She has served as Academic Dean at PCHS, and was a professor and clinic supervisor there as well. She specializes in pain management, women’s health, and nutritional support. Man-Ling is a very passionate and knowledgeable practitioner who provides patient-centered care. She is very grateful for all the opportunities her patients have given her to serve and to help all these years. In her leisure time, she likes to play tennis, pickleball, and to try new restaurants.
Jessica Bautista Alejandro
CMT
Jessica is a dedicated and intuitive massage therapist who tailors each session to meet the unique needs of her clients. With a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from San Francisco State University, she brings a deep understanding of human movement and anatomy to every treatment. She later completed her massage therapy certification at the California Holistic Institute in San Luis Obispo, further enhancing her ability to support clients in their wellness journeys.
Jessica has refined her skills in a variety of professional settings, including chiropractic offices and spa environments, allowing her to blend therapeutic techniques with a soothing touch. Her services are highly personalized, designed to promote recovery, relaxation, and overall well-being.
When she’s not working with clients, Jessica enjoys bike riding, hiking, and weightlifting—activities that reflect her holistic approach to health and give her valuable insight into the physical demands many clients face.
